Cats have been sitting for portraits since Egypt and have never once cooperated. Yours won't either, which is the point: hand over a photo taken while your cat was asleep on the radiator and the painting happens without a sitting. - What photo of my cat should I use?
- One taken while your cat was still. Daylight, the head roughly towards the camera, and close enough that the face is more than a thumbnail. The nap on the windowsill is the ideal shoot. The leap off the bookcase, rather less.
- Can I use a photo from my phone?
- That is where nearly every portrait here starts. The painting is generated at high resolution whatever camera took the photo, so a quick snapshot still fills the largest poster size. Your phone decides one thing: how much of the face the AI has to read.
